Nexdot was founded in 2010 by Maurice Guillou and Benoît Dubertret (Research Director at CNRS), with the goal of developing industrial applications in France based on Benoît Dubertret’s groundbreaking research on quantum dots—nanoscale semiconductor crystals (awarded the 2023 Nobel Prize in Chemistry).
Over the past 14 years, Nexdot, whose laboratory and pilot lines are located in Romainville, has filed more than 45 patent families and has successfully explored several application fields for these nanocrystals.
