What is a Hackathon? 

It is a competition that brings together students, experts and companies from a targeted sector to reflect on a business or societal issue in order to provide relevant, concrete and innovative answers.


Why a Hackathon on supply chain? 

The fragrance and cosmetics industry is accelerating its environmental transition. 

Consumers expect eco-designed products, transparency and concrete solutions for the preservation of resources.

By organizing a student challenge for a more sustainable supply chain on Cosmetic 360 trade show, Groupe Deret, a major player in logistics, wishes to provide answers to these challenges.

More than 40 students coached by mentors of the profession, will work during 2 days on the following issue



Through 3 categories, young talents will be invited to push the limits of their creativity. 



Identify and track the life cycle of the product purchased in store or via the Internet in order to predict the end of life of the product, anticipate its restocking according to the needs of the consumer, its obsolescence and identify the need to recover the container.

To organize the return of the containers of the consumed cosmetic products to the manufacturers and their partners in a zero waste objective, whatever the distribution channel: in store or on Internet. 


Green4SupplyChain #2 

Eliminate over-packaging of products to reduce waste: from the manufacturer to the warehouse and from the warehouse to the stores and consumers.  


This event is associated with the LIPACO-SEINE research project "Intelligent Logistics for Fragrance and Cosmetics", which aims to develop digital solutions to optimize the organization of the supply chain of the industry. It is supported by :
