What can cause the appreciation of a product, its repeated use, or even its re-purchase, is the texture and short-term effectiveness. Our emotional texture project consisted in a screening of ten leave-on formulations. To lead to the preference mapping, ten experts assessed the profiles, one hundred femal consumers have been questioned about their preferences regarding the nude textures. We emphasized on two downright well appreciated compositions. Moreover, we tested the 10 cream textures with thirty naïve consumers, using a combination of verbal and non-verbal assessments: prosody, verbatim, and spreading gesture. At last we have specifically identified the positive emotions of two interesting textures, based on the self-assessments of ten naïve female consumers produced in a “sensorial journey” immersive methodology involving olfactory, haptic and musical stimuli.
