PromaCare 1,3- Propanediol is a 100% bio-based carbon-based diol produced from glucose as a raw material. It contains two hydroxyl functional groups which give it properties such as solubility, hygroscopicity, emulsifying ability, and high permeability. It can be used in cosmetics as a wetting agent, solvent, humectant, stabilizer, gelling agent, and antifreeze agent.
