Cysteamine, a naturally occurring aminothiol in the human
body, acts as an antioxidant derived from Coenzyme A
degradation. Recent studies demonstrate its efficacy
as a potent skin depigmenting agent. Cysteamine has
been proven effective, safe, and well-tolerated for
treating melasma. It compares favorably to established
depigmenting therapies, offering higher tolerability.
However, historically it has been known for its offensive odor
and rapid oxidation which can be solved with encapsulation
in Vegan DDS nanovesicles.
DDS or Deep delivery system is composed of mainly
phospholipids and membrane stabilizers. It contains the
right amount of penetration enhancers and edge activators
that help the system reach the desired cells.
